Today I’m publishing my first post on my new blog and I chose this very special wedding that I’ve been saving for this occasion. Not only Carolina, the bride, became a dear friend to my heart but the amount of details and history behind this wedding is absolutely exceptional. Carolina designed every single detail to perfection. She envisioned a classic wedding that was romantic and timeless, and that grasped the essence of the couple’s cultures, Karol is Polish and Carolina is Cuban, adding hints of personal charm and European elegance. Every single detail incorporated tradition, a personal story or historical significance. The palette was neutral and warm, the florals included Queen Anne’s lace, green amaranthus, ivory ranunculus, ivory and green hydrangeas, ivory garden roses, emerald gaiety, moss, and green foliage that blended with the picturesque setting and lush gardens of the venue.
The invitations were also designed by Carolina and they were printed on antique lace handkerchiefs for the women and linen pocket squares for the men. That way they could enjoy a keepsake from the couple to years to come. One of my favorite parts (among many others) was the sweetheart table which was a surprise from Carolina’s mother to the couple. The table setting had antique mix-match plates dating back to 1890’s, a monogrammed ice bucket, an engraved Mumm’s champagne bottle, decorative silverware and etched depressed stemware. The history and the stories of those objects were endless and it was absolutely gorgeous.
Every aspect of this beautiful wedding was perfect, starting with Carolina and Karol, they were an absolut delight to work with, to every single detail. The evening was flawless, romantic and so classic. Their guests enjoyed a beautiful night under bistro lights and magnificent trees. It was a dream come true and a photographer’s paradise, I hope you enjoy the pictures!
